In addition to DJ decks, my old 70s record player had a long stem in the middle and you could stack records so the second would drop after the first finished, then you just flip both over and the process repeats. I reckon they were more common back then. 'They consider 'dark' works made by 2 notes, full of keyboards useful only to enter in the posers temple.' Seven Chalices for example is single jacket and holds the two LPs and booklet while not being tight at all. They were looking more at record 1, record 2, record 3, etc. Then flip and they would play in reverse. Tons of classical records from the 60s-70s are like this. A lot of my pet peeves have been included, but I will second the one about tapes that have over ten minutes of silence before flipping sides! Also, those clunky 'high end' jewel cases that labels like Peaceville have been using. I was talking about double LPs that pretend they're 2 different things, so you get 2 discs with side 1 and 2. I have nothing against DIY if it looks good. And it doesn't take much to actually do something decent. Hidden tracks on CDs with tens of empty tracks before them. Spine texts written the wrong way around. CDs with slipcases. Blown up images on any format with low quality, especially in posters. Spelling errors, obivous mistakes and errors in layouts, all shit like that. Special CD cases and trays, tape cases etc. That aren't durable and can't be replaced if damaged or worn to shit.

Is there anyone that has successfully run mixxx on android tablets. I have been told that with the current 1.6 gig microprocessor chip 1 gig ram memory can do it with the eq and effects turned off. Mixxx is the only serious 3rd party software (free or not) that can run on LINUX based computers. I was a long time user of the only 3rd party internet based software that can kick Mixxx's ass, Adion's Djdecks.be (Virtual dj SUCKS,thats why they now work with ADION of DJDECKS.BE). But since MIXXX is the only FREE PRICE one that is good enough to compare TO THE BIG COMMERCIAL THREE (SERATO, TRAKTOR, MIXVIBES) my mind changed. HOWEVER, for MIXXX to really be #1 and beat the king of internet 3rd party DVS software, DJDECKS.BE, there are a couple of things it MUST do to be the best.

Keep it Free price. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

This is what Djdecks.be does that kicks MIXXX's ass! MIXXX must automatically load song into playing deck even if it is playing or not.

This is probably the main reason why Djdecks is better than MIXXX. Djdecks does this without any stupid on off switch in system settings. FIX THIS PLEASE,especially for the LINUX versions ( UBUNTU FEDORA Android?????) NO SERIOUS TURNTABLIST ON DVS HAS TO STOP HIS HER TURNTABLE PLATTER JUST TO LOAD A #KING TRACK TO A DECK- this wastes precious seconds especially in competition and is a serious annoyance and turn off- fix this stupid problem please! Automatically resize skins!!!!

DjDecks.be is the best at autosizing and creating skins even better than Virtualdj,They even did their own version of serato and Traktor skins. You can even take a photo of an object and make it into a skin with the built in skin editor.Make all the skins into smaller tablet size if you can!!!! It is about time MIXXX has a SERATO style skin with at least 6-10 hotcues per deck! Also no sticker drift with the hotcues!!!! #4.Mixx needs an option to keep original default waveforms! The fancy colored detail waveform options are nice but it messes up the latency, you need a dedfault option like the older versions I think the MIXXX programmers need to download DJDECKS.BE and see what I am talking about. Because MIXXX is free they really need to kick every body's GREEDY asses!

The underlying Qt library is already available for android. All third party libraries a available in source code, and Portaudio is available for android. But anyhow it will be a loot of work, and will take a lot of time. The biggest issue I can see is that Mixxx is currently designed for pointing devices and it does not work very well for Touch UI this is also interesting for the Windows 8 touch Laptops. The touch issue is covered in. Feel free to file a bug for the Android Porting issue.

#2 is already Fixed, it is a preference Option at Preference Interface Track load behaviour #3 we have already discussed how to make skins resize able. Our plans for Mixxx 1.12 are listed here. But I am afraid we will not manage to fix all that due to leak of time. Any help is appreciated! I am not sure if we already track your issue by a bug feel free to file one.

I have currently not understood why there is such a strong demand for skin resizing. So please explain it in the bug more detailed. #4 we have currently a bunch of waveform options for different setups. Which waveform type do you miss, which latency issues are you facing? Please request in in a bugreport, you may add a screen shot of djDecks.be.

Be sure you have enabled real time scheduling, since you are on a Linux platform. Kind regards, Daniel Mixxx Developer Posts: 1126 Joined: Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:26 am.
